A process of engineering and product development can contain the following steps: - 3D engineering | creation of a 3D model with all information about the product: the thickness of the housing, positions of screws or snap fittings, positions of electrical print boards, standard parts like springs, screws, displays and other technical elements.
- 2D engineering | production of 2D drawings for the production and quality control. Suppliers or your own production will need 2D drawings as well, apart from the 3d digital information, for main dimensions, tolerances and other specific production information. These drawings are the basis for quality checks on the product parts, to see whether your production or suppliers did make the parts according to specifications.
- Calculations | critical parts in the construction of the design are calculated on movement, bending, strength, warmth or other factors that are important. Or we can conduct simulations so that we know that the product can fulfil the functions it is designed for, without having to pay costs for prototyping in this stage.
- Materials | for every product we search for and select the best materials, we check if sustainable material alternatives are available, whether there are interesting new developments.
- Production technology | as we are independent from production, we can select for every part the best production technology and work out the best solutions with suppliers.
- Documentation | preparation of documentation for CE and other certifications, making of user manuals or product documentation.
- Production | for some clients we also take care of the production and assembly of their products. We do not have facilities for production, we make sure the products are made by several European suppliers, we take care of the logistics and the project management.
- Software development | We believe that the user experience is determined to a certain extent by the software. Therefore we design interaction, interfaces and software, both embedded and application software. read more about software development /
- Documentation | creating the documentation for certifications like CE, creating documentation for manuals or assembly instructions.
- Production | creation of bills of materials, conducting production preparations, managing first production runs, quality control.
