In order to be able to design a good new product we will investigate several topics, like your present product range, the users of your products, competing products, direction of styling and design, technical specifications and other issues. Every project is different, but some important aspects of a design project are listed below:

  • User insight | studying, observing and interviewing users of your present products or similar products from competitors is crucial to gain insight in the good and bad specifications of today’s products, in order to come to improvements and building a good user experience.   • Design Essentials | in order to get to the essence of the product, we collect facts and knowledge about the product and its use, the historical development and deconstruct this information to the very essential elements that define the product experience. 
  • Ideation | finding new ideas, optimizing ideas, defining functionality of the product with morphology and selecting the best ideas for concept development. 
  • Concepts | generation and selection of design concepts and visualisation of the best concepts. The visualisations show the forms of the product, together with the parts, materials and colours. 
  • Patent Search | in order to be sure that some technologies are not protected, we will look for similar technologies or products in the patent databases in order to limit the risk of a patent infringement. 
  • Quick-and-dirty-prototyping | by means of quick-and-dirty prototyping the working principles of the concepts are tested in an early stage.
